1. General Overview & Data Controller
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy informs you about how we handle the limited data we collect when you visit our website or purchase the Core Notes plugin. The data controller responsible for this website under applicable data protection laws (including the GDPR and the Swiss FADP) is:

2. Data Collection, Usage, and Infrastructure
We operate a minimal, serverless infrastructure powered by Cloudflare. We do not use aggressive tracking cookies or analytics that record your personal behavior. We only collect the information strictly necessary to fulfill your order and to provide software updates.
- Server Logs & Edge Network: When you visit our website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) temporarily processes your IP address to deliver the website securely and quickly. We also utilize a brief geographic check (identifying your country) solely to ensure compliance with regional consumer protection laws (such as EU withdrawal rights).
- Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement tool. It does not use any cookies, does not track visitors across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information.
3. Payment Processing (Paddle)
Our entire checkout and payment process is handled securely by our online reseller, Paddle.com, acting as our Merchant of Record. We do not store, process, or ever see your credit card or full billing information on our servers. Paddle processes your payment data in accordance with their strict privacy policy and global PCI compliance standards.
4. Transactional Emails (Resend)
To securely deliver your personalized plugin download link and essential order updates (such as receipts or renewal confirmations), we use the email service provider Resend. Your email address and basic transaction details (like the order ID) are shared with Resend solely for the purpose of transactional email delivery. We do not distribute traditional license keys via email.
5. Software Personalization & Licensing
When you purchase the plugin, we store your license information in our secure database to validate or invalidate updates. Furthermore, a secure, anonymous digital identifier derived from your purchase data is embedded into the generated digital file to prevent piracy. This identifier does not contain plain-text personal data but uniquely links the licensed file to your transaction.
To ensure you receive the latest features and to validate your 3-year update access, the Core Notes plugin periodically connects to our servers (e.g., once a day). This automated check only transmits your license credentials. No personal usage statistics, notes, or behavioral data are ever collected or transmitted during this process.
6. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on your location (e.g., the European Economic Area or Switzerland), you have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data stored on our systems. To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address provided in Section 1. Please note that data related to financial transactions may be retained by our Merchant of Record (Paddle) for longer periods to comply with international tax law and legal obligations.
